Christmas Reminder

Author: Sandra Cartlidge, Reprinted with permission

Twas Christmas day in the doghouse,
The Staffies were gathering round,
Ripping the stockings to pieces &
Leaving a mess on the ground.

Chomping away at the dog chocs,
and gnawing away at the chews,
Shredding the squeaking snowmen,
And the rawhide trainers & shoes.

With Turkey & stuffing a plenty,
The Staffies prepared for a feast,
To follow, a nice Christmas pudding,
Or a Crème Caramel at the least.

Whilst the local veterinarian,
Was rubbing his hands in glee,
He knew he could sort out the upsets,
(For double his usual fee.)

Let this be a timely reminder,
To be careful what you feed,
Hide away goodies & chocolates,
Then MRCVS you won't need!
